Leon Katzenmeier

Dr. Leon Katzenmeier is a highly qualified professional with a background in Materials Science and Engineering. He obtained his PhD in 2022 from the Technical University of Munich, where his research focused on the charge accumulation of solid-state electrolyte interfaces.

Before pursuing his doctorate, Dr. Katzenmeier gained industry experience working in the R&D field at BMW and GE Global Research. During this time, he was involved in various projects related to battery technology and helped to develop novel solutions for electrical conversion and storage.

In his post-doctoral position at the TUMInt.Energy Research, Dr. Katzenmeier worked with industry partners on the next generation of battery technology. His work focused on the development of advanced materials and the optimization of their electrochemical properties for energy storage applications.

Since joining SCIRES in 2023, Dr. Katzenmeier has been working as a project manager in the field of energy storage, helping companies to develop and commercialize new technologies. He currently supports Wildcat Discovery Technologies with their European projects, leveraging his expertise in advanced materials and battery technology.
